On 9 June 2026, HOLiFOOD Living Labs – organized by APRE and Wageningen University and Research will host two back-to-back workshops in Wageningen (The Netherlands), bringing together developers, researchers, practitioners, and value chain experts to co-create the future of food safety.

The EU FOOD SAFETY PLATFORM is supporting the Living Labs through the participation of some active members and experts, building on its role as a multi-stakeholder hub for co-creation and stakeholder engagement in the HOLiFOOD project.

In the Evaluation & Exploitation workshopRefining the Future of Food Safety”, participants will explore the HOLiFOOD dashboard, test its tools for early detection of emerging food safety risks, and share feedback to ensure the dashboard remains usable, relevant, and sustainable beyond the project’s duration.

In the value-chain-focused workshop “Holistic risk assessment in the era of climate change” participants will examine the lentil and poultry supply chains, assessing microbiological, chemical, nutritional, economic, and environmental risks today and in 2050 under climate change scenarios; during the session, the co-designed holistic risk assessment will be presented and evaluated with stakeholders.
