Have your say in shaping EU priorities on Nutrition–Health–Environment: HDHL Food4Health survey is open

News | 2026-05-19 | Nunzia Cito

The EU Food Safety Platform is pleased to support a new consultation launched by our member ILVO within the JPI HDHL Food4Health project, an EU-funded Coordination and Support Action that builds on the HDHL network and related CSAs to address the intertwined challenges of unhealthy diets, non-communicable diseases and climate change.

HDHL Food4Health aims to align research and innovation priorities across the health and food domains, by fostering new collaborations and identifying what is most needed in terms of research, policy and implementation to support healthier and more sustainable dietary behaviours. One of the project’s key objectives is to identify and organise the knowledge gaps and RIPI (Research, Innovation, Policy, and Implementation) priorities in the interconnected areas of Nutrition, Health and Environment.

To this end, the consortium has developed an online questionnaire structured around key themes, allowing respondents to focus on their own areas of expertise.

Contributions from the EU Food Safety Platform community are particularly valuable to generate robust, stakeholder-driven insights that can help steer future R&I and public policy towards the most urgent priorities.

We warmly invite our members, partners and wider network to:

  • Complete the survey as individual experts and/or on behalf of their organisation or initiative.
  • Share the survey with colleagues and contacts who have relevant expertise in Nutrition, Health and Environment, and, where possible, inform us about the networks reached.
  • The deadline for submission is 1 June 2026. Survey available here (password: food4health!)
