Call for abstracts: Youngs acting for the future of Food Safety in EU session @EU FOOD SAFETY FORUM 2026
The EU Food Safety Platform is pleased to announce the launch of its fourth Call for Abstracts, dedicated to showcasing research and innovative ideas from emerging researchers and young professionals in the field of food safety!
We invite early-career scientists and young practitioners to submit abstracts presenting their work for the EU Food Safety Forum 2026, which will take place on 11 December 2026 in Rome. For inspiration, applicants are encouraged to explore posters from previous editions (2023–2025) in the Youths&Update section of the Knowledge Center.
Opportunities for Selected Participants
Six outstanding submissions will be selected and awarded the opportunity to:
- Deliver a 5-minute pitch on stage at the EU FOOD SAFETY FORUM on 11.12.2026 in Rome
- Showcase their posters at the Forum venue
- Be featured in a dedicated section on the EU Food Safety Platform
- Participate in the podcast series “Young Minds of Food Safety”, produced in collaboration with a member company (for three selected authors).
The podcasts will be shared through the Platform’s social media channels and YouTube, boosting visibility and outreach, and promoted for six months after the Forum through the monthly newsletter.
Awards
- Three selected participants will be featured in our podcasts series to be released in 2027
- A €500 “Young Winner Award” will be granted by the Food Safety Risk Journal
